On this project I was given the end card layout as a 2D layout design by Steve Mandelbaum. With that my job was to design and animate a 6 second tune-in toolkit capable to output all the variations needed for the season in three different formats, and 2 languages in about two weeks. With such a short timeline I needed to find a simple concept. The design reminded me a lot of the white walls you would see often in the streets of the Spanish Mediterranean coast. I used that inspiration to make the entire scene feel like it is happening on a street in Barcelona; right next to the stadium on a spring afternoon a few hours before the big game begins. For a little high-end touch of elegance and complexity I added the 3D elements, a smooth camera tilt and the shadows of a nearby tree caqsting on the wall. The music and sound FX our editor Josh Saxby came up with really tied the piece together nicely. I was very pleased with the results not only the toolkit reduced drastically the amount of manual labor for our team throughout the season, but the video also ended up being the best performing asset on the entire campaign by quite a large percentage.
